Thank you to all the Veterans out there today.
Well today is a day to give thanks for all those who served our country. They allowed us to have what we have today. The freedom to achieve and be the best we can be.
In my family, my Father (Harry Fanning) is a Vet, served in Vietnam on the USS Ranger. My uncle (Ben Aiken) was in the special forces in Vietnam, became a 4 star Lieutenant Colonel at Fort Bragg.
In the Windermere family we have Ralph Jenkins.
I just want to say thank you for serving our country.

My Name is Chaplain Kimberly Whitley, serving as a chaplain to veterans in my community through Gold Country Chaplaincy in California. I’m assisting a veteran who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer which is among those listed through the VA from Agent Orange exposure while serving in vietnam. He served on the Ranger from 1970 to 1974. However, for those serving on the USS Ranger they are often told their illness is not service connected, as they have been told the ship’s logs were “lost” and can’t verify details to prove exposure. I am contacting as many vets serving on the USS Ranger as possible (found emails on posting from the USS Ranger site) to not only help the vet I am serving find the proof needed to obtain benefits, but hopefully help any of you who may need such information for your VA claims. If you have been diagnosed with any of the following (regardless of how long after your military service the diagnoses was made), please contact me for this research project to help veterans:
Cancer (many types)
Leukemia Type B
Non Hodgkin’s disease or Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Multiple Myeloma
Soft Tissue Sarcoma or Mesothelioma
Parkinson’s Disease
Chloracne n(within 1 year exposure to Agent Orange)
Porphyria Cutaniea Tarda (must occur within 1 year of exposure)
AL Amyloidosis
Ischemic Hear Disease
Acute & sub acute transient peripheral neuropathy( appeared within one year of ecposure)
Type ll Diabetes
